Not a lot of people know this about me but I suffer from extreme Anxiety.The type of anxiety where I hate social interaction,I hate being around huge crowds of people,I can't cope with conflict and I'd rather die than be in a room full of people I don't know. Most people are shocked by this because they see me as outgoing and confident but deep down I'm venerable.
Anxiety is something a lot of people deal with. I'm going to share with you how I deal with my Anxiety.
1. Take a deep breath
This has worked for me many times when I've been at social functions and I feel very anxious.
2. Take a time out
If it's too much for you, you need to leave the situation for a bit until you calm down.
3. Meditate
This is my go to ! I love meditation.Burn a candle and chill. It's extremely calming and it helps you clear your mind.
4. Exercise
Whenever I'm feeling anxious I got for a very long run. Sometimes it's good to be by yourself and you also get a good body after it !
5. Talk to someone
Let all your emotions out.No point in going through it by yourself because it will make things worse. You'll feel much better when you do.
6. Scream
Yes SCREAM ! This is a good way to let everything go. Screaming is great and also calming.
7. Do what you love
Paint, play basketball, play the drums ! Do something that makes you smile.
Anxiety shouldn't stop you from doing what you love. I love sports which involves social interaction but it doesn't stop me from playing sports. All you need to do is learn how to cope and get on with life. If you keep hiding yourself you'll never achieve what you want to achieve.You will also blame yourself when opportunities go by you. Go out there and attack the world with the gifts God gave you.
